La Paz, although very exciting and lively, is filled with poverty.  Bolivia is one of the poorest countries in
South America, if not the poorest.  The children lack facilities to attend regular classes, lack the right
material to learn and lack the time and the necessary money to fulfill their education.

You will be living a few weeks in the region’s poorest areas and experiencing the life styles of the orphans
and the malnourished.

We work in cooperation with local administrators to bring you a great experience and offer you the chance
to meet of the world’s best kept secret.

You must be aware that traveling in a foreign country can be a challenge and we can sometimes not
anticipate the challenges that may occur.  We must stay alert that visiting another culture does not involve
the necessity to judge or to push changes, but involves understanding and comprehension.

Our main objective is to develop your sensitivity and awareness towards poverty.  The purpose of this
program is to give you the chance to increase your teaching skills and ameliorate your pedagogic
approaches.  An extra emphasis will be put on environmental issues in South America to raise awareness
amongst the children.
